Kerbd is a mobile app that reads a photograph of a parking sign and tells you whether you can park there. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it. It applies to the Kerbd app and the service behind it.
Kerbd is operated by Ayo Ijaoba in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photo library, browsing activity, or advertising identifiers. Kerbd contains no third-party analytics or advertising software.
When you tap the shutter, the app sends the photograph, the current time and your approximate location to our server. That server passes the image to Anthropic's Claude API, which interprets the sign. The answer comes back to your phone and the photograph is discarded from memory. It is never written to a database or a file on our servers.
Anthropic processes the image as our sub-processor in order to return a result. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms and privacy policy.
Kerbd gives each installation a random identifier, generated on your device. It is not derived from anything about you or your phone and cannot be linked back to you. It exists so the free allowance means something, and so an active subscription can be recognised.
Delete the app and that identifier is gone. Reinstalling creates a new one.
The install identifier, its check count and subscription state are stored with Supabase. Our application server runs on Railway. Photographs are processed in transit only and are stored by neither.
Everything else — your check history, the photographs attached to it, and your saved parking spot — is stored on your phone and never uploaded.
If you allow notifications, Kerbd schedules reminders on your device before your parking expires. These are created and delivered locally by your phone. No notification content passes through our servers.
If you subscribe to Kerbd Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details. We receive only confirmation that a subscription is active, via RevenueCat, who validate the purchase on our behalf.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Because Kerbd holds almost nothing about you, most of this is quick: deleting the app removes your history, your saved spot and your link to the install identifier. To have the identifier and its record erased from our database, email us — you'll need to send us the identifier, shown at the bottom of the Account tab.
Kerbd is intended for drivers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
