These terms govern your use of the Kerbd mobile app and the service behind it. By using Kerbd you accept them. Kerbd is operated by Ayo Ijaoba in the United Kingdom.
Kerbd reads a photograph of a parking sign or road marking and gives an opinion on whether parking is permitted at that moment. It applies UK parking rules to the day and time of your request.
Kerbd is an aid to judgement, not a substitute for it. It is not legal advice, and it does not create any guarantee that you will not receive a penalty charge notice.
A photograph captures a small part of a street. It can miss a plate further along the road, a dropped kerb behind you, a bay boundary just out of frame, a suspension notice, or a temporary restriction. Signs are also changed, damaged and obscured. Where Kerbd is uncertain it says so, but it cannot know what it cannot see.
Before you leave your vehicle, look at the signs and markings around it. The decision to park is yours and remains yours.
Kerbd is designed for signage in the United Kingdom. Used elsewhere it will give unreliable answers, and we don't support that use.
Kerbd includes a number of free checks. Beyond that, Kerbd Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple account.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple under their own policies.
We try to keep Kerbd working, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. It depends on your phone's connection, on Apple's services, and on third parties including our hosting and AI providers. We may change or discontinue features.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for parking penalties, fines, clamping, towing, vehicle removal, or other losses arising from a parking decision you made — including where Kerbd's answer contributed to it. Kerbd's answers are opinions about what a sign appears to say, and the responsibility for where you leave a vehicle is yours.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
